Vintage Signed C.H. Shi Spaniel Setter Dogs Oil On Black Velvet Painting Rare

Gorgeous piece painted by C.H. Shi, one of few famous black velvet oil painters. He was highly known for his nudes but this is the second dog painting I have come across of his in the last 10 years. The other one was a Maltese pup. I believe these to be Irish Setter Pups but they could be Cocker Spaniels. They literally pop off the velvet! Gorgeous colors and realistic shading. Believe this painting to be mid 70’s. Unfortunately there are some rubs on the velvet, see pics. Frame is in good condition upper right has a knick in corner. This piece is going to be expensive to ship due to size. I can’t help that but can try and get the best rate possible for delivery. Pictured is book featuring some of this artists work, if you don’t have the book and you have a love for painted velvet I highly suggest it! Book is not included!
