Vintage Set of 4 Handpainted Japan Porcelain Ashtray Butter Pats Small Plates Rosebuds 1950s Set of 4 small dishes with rosebud floral transferware and then handpainted detail design. Some of plates have some paint loss to the rosebuds and leaves as well as the gold trim. All of the dishes are in good condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. There is wear on the bottom of the dishes from previous use and to the detail as described above. Gold trim and an indent on either side perhaps for a cigar or cigarette. They look to have never been used for this purpose. The plates are 3 1/2 inches in diameter and approximately 1/4 inch in depth. Back of the plates are marked, "Made in Japan".
