Quality silk fabric from 1950-60's era. Elsa Schiaparelli (1890-1973) was an Italian designer from an aristocratic family. She Founded the House of Schiaparelli in Paris in 1927 and managed the company from approximately 1930-50's. Well known for her eccentric fashion and fabulous costume jewelry. Oblong scarf features an ornate, colorful design. Colors are red, white, purple, avocado green, blue and golden brown. Border stripes are burgundy. It measures 15.5 in x 4.9 in with hand rolled hems. Condition is vintage and very good.
