Gee's Bend, Alabama, is home to a historic rural community of African American quiltmaking women known for their bold, graphic, colorful designs. It is more than 100 years old. This scarf is based on a quilt made by Nettie Young, 1916-2010, in 1971, called the H Variation Quilt: Milky Way.
Important Information: I don't accept returns, so please be sure of your measurements. Lay a garment that fits you well on a flat surface and measure armpit to armpit, waist, hips. I want you to be happy with your purchase! Also, my small town's post office is open limited hours 5 days a week and closed on Saturday, so please allow 3 days' handling.
