Vintage SAINT AUGUSTINE Tea Cup & Saucer / RARE German BROWNWARE / Broken Wing

Not much is known about these vintage brown-glazed tea cup and saucer sets except that some of them have the words ‘St. Augustine, Fla.’ on the front of the saucer and ‘Made in Germany’ on the back. This example only has a few strange markings on the bottom of the cup which I have never seen before. The saucer measures 3 3/4 inches wide and the cup is 2 7/8 inches wide. Both are in excellent vintage condition except for the little bird on the cup is missing the tip of one of its wings (see photo).
