Vintage Rosenthal Netter Hollywood Regency Gold Brass Fish Sculpture MCM

Beautiful solid brass sculpture of a tropical fish on a rectangular stand, by Deknudt for Rosenthal Netter, Hollywood Regency design of the sixties. Very high quality crafted and beautifully designed object, the brass is slightly burnished and bears a nice patina of age. A high-quality lamp version of this sculpture can be found by Deknudt. Deknudt made these fish and they were distributed by Rosenthal Netter and others to other parts of the world. Rosenthal Netter is a name that refers to a company rather than an individual. Rosenthal Netter was an American importer and distributor of decorative art and home accessories, founded in 1950 by Irving Netter and his wife Florence. The company specialized in importing high-quality ceramics, glassware, metal art and other decorative objects from Italy and other parts of Europe. This item is 8” H x 8” W x 2” D in very good condition consistent with age, no dents or scratches, nice age patina. The fish screws into the base. The base could be removed.
