Vintage Rochester NY Shoe Tree Co. "#4 Mohawk" Shoe Tree/Stretcher Blonde

Founded in 1922 by Edmund Bass (1889-1978), the Rochester NY Shoe Tree Co. began making masts for shoemakers to assist them in the manufacturing and repair of shoes. In 1933, he expanded the company making shoe trees strictly from select aromatic red cedar; nature's perfect wood for absorbing moisture and odors. These are from the early years as each is imprinted with "Pat. Pend". These blonde color trees still work as intended with a beautifully aged patina. There is wear and minor surface scratches. One set of the two sets possesses signs of light rust on the metal shaft. The springs and screws are original. Please review the pictures and make inquiries herein before bidding or purchasing.
