Planters Peanuts 1950s Salt and Pepper Shakers MR PEANUT This fabulous S&P set was produced by Pyro Plastics circa 1950s. Mr. Peanut was the anthropomorphic peanut mascot for Planters Peanuts for 104 years. These hard plastic salt and pepper shakers were a premium giveaway as part of a promotion by Planters.The classy Mr. Peanut is pale yellow with a monocle, spats on his shoes, a black cane and top hat.
