Vintage Peanuts Snoopy World War I Flying Ace, ©️2001- 22K GOLD STAMP! Authentic and All Original! Absolutely gorgeous. EXTREMELY RARE!! Hard-to-find collectible. Peanuts First Day of Issue. Santa Rosa, California May 17, 2001. Features encapsulated 24 karat gold stamp on Red velvet back enfaced on burgundy colored card stock. Front of envelope features a second mint condition paper postal stamp with special duel USPS post marks (Pictorial Cancellations). Paper stamp in flawless condition. Corners are sharp and tight. No peeling or fraying. Envelope itself is also in pristine condition with very sharp corners and no bending. Post mark seals are bold and vibrant. No fading or highlighting. All script on front and back of envelope also noted as such. A must have for The Peanuts or Snoopy Fan and/or Stamp Collector. FLAWLESS!! Stamp pressing was unveiled at the Redwood Empire Ice Arena in Santa Rosa, California Thursday morning May 17, 2001. The stamp commemorates the late artist Charles Schultz and features the immortal Snoopy character with his classic yellow scarf atop his equally classic red doghouse pursuing his arch nemesis the Red Baron. Illustrated by Schultz, and designed by Carl Hermann of Carlsbad, California, the Peanuts stamp depicts Snoopy in his role as The World War I Flying Ace.
