Vintage Pair of Metal Dante Book Ends with a Faux Bronze Finish and Felt Bottoms This is a beautiful Vintage Pair of Metal Alloy Dante Book Ends with a Faux Bronze Finish and Felt Bottoms. These two bookends were refurbished at a store called "Redux", similar to a Restoration Hardware, except this store actually restored vintage items and props for the studios out here in LA LA Land. The store has since closed its doors due to the covid shutdowns and the recent entertainment industry strikes. The pieces are constructed of a metal alloy (most likely spelter which is a zinc-lead alloy used in the early 20th century for statue and figurine making) and have a lovely faux aged bronze patina. They are lined on the backs and bottoms with a green felt material. Both bookends are the bust of Dante and bear the name "DANTE" on the lower fronts. The bookends measure approximately 8" high by 7" wide by 4" in depth. They are in great condition.
