Vintage Painted Scrimshaw Heart Pendant

This pendant was bought for me by my first boyfriend in high school in the 1970s! When we broke up, I gave it to my mother, who held onto it for the next 50 years… It is approximately 1 inch high at the longest points, and approximately 1 inch across at the widest points. It is painted with a small purple flower and signed with a single letter, which looks like either a K or a B to me. It does not include a chain.
