Vintage One Pair Japanese Wooden Kokeshi Dolls

Pair of 5" Japanese Kokeshi from the occupied Japan 1950ish. Kokeshi are handmade & hand painted wooden dolls from Japan and very simple in design, being made from two pieces of wood- one for a large round head, and the other for a cylindrical truck, painted with delicate lines to define the facial features and colourful designs for the kimono or other clothing. Care of your kokeshi: keep them out of direct sunlight to prevent fading and wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Excellent condition.
