One of my all time favorite outfits. Bought new in 2000 for a wedding. It’s stunning and unique. Black lace with embroidered rose trims. Back zippers. Knee length. I will sell separately if asked.

Are both the top and skirt size 8? Do you have measurements, bust, waist, hip, length? Thank you!
cacloset2
@suz_g yes, both are the same size. I will get you measurements in the AM! Thanks!

@cacloset2 Thank you. 8 should fit, but measurements would be great, because I recently got another vintage piece that ended up being too small. I have a lot of Nanette Lepore that I bought years ago, and the sizing can be difficult to gauge depending on the style.

@suz_g I have not forgotten you!

@suz_g the skirt doesn’t have a separate waistband so it sat lower on my waist, that is I6” and it gets a bit wider as it gets to hips, 19.5” (laying flat) length is 22”.
The top is 15.5” at the floral trim just under the breast. Length is 21”. It narrows to 15”at waist. 13” from shoulder to shoulder inside. Are there any other measurements that you’d like? I’m curvy so it got a bit tight around the hips. It’s truly one of my favorite outfits.

@cacloset2 Thank you so much! I’m sad, because I’m curvy, too, so the hips would be too small. I have a narrow waist and ribcage, so that part would fit, but I might still spill out of the top. It’s so cute! I hope someone who appreciates how special it is buys it.

@suz_g it’s a true 8, for sure. I think we are so used to Lycra and spandex these days that we can squeeze into multiple sizes. This is not stretchy. And the top is big on me! Crazy. Glad you know your measurements!

@cacloset2 Yah, I think I’m more of a 10 on the bottom lately, but sizes are all over the place. Most of my old Nanette Lepore clothes are size 2 and 4, so they don’t fit anymore. And the items that were larger I altered when I was thinner. But I’m accepting my size as I age, and I can slowly find great vintage pieces that I love to replace them.
