Vintage Motion Lamp Fireplace Clock

VINTAGE RARE FIND SUCH A COOL PIECE! Is electric foe light and fireplace/Clock is battery operated I can not get that part to work. I believe you can purchase a new battery compartment Would make a really neat display with Christmas decor. the plastic piece over the clock is loose M1
