Vintage Monet iconic abstract wheat sheaf brooch. Signed. Measures approx. 2 1/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches Weighs approx. 1 1/3 ounces Gold tone twisted rope motif done in plated cast metal with rivet construction Marked Monet with copyright symbol on the back of the brooch This is a "cousin" of Monet's famous Cordelia flower brooch also done in twisted rope. These designs stayed in the collection for several years in the 1960s and 70's.
