Authentic rabbit fur is lining the exterior arm holes of the cape/cloak. This was in my grandparents closet, the best idea I can find is this is Victorian Era noted as a mourning cloak. Attire once worn during grieving ceremonies, mourning cloaks inspire anything but sadness.
