Vintage Military Photo/Award Holder

Estate Cleanout. The shells and holders could use a polishing or deep cleaning. I am not sure if this was designed to hold a photo or award. There are no makers marks or stamps. The 2 center stand poles have 2 pieces of plexiglass, different thicknesses and the one is clearer than the other. The base top is a shiny black, while the edges look to have a wood look and the base is covered in green felt. Definitely reminds me of a decorative piece or desk piece from one of the World Wars.
