Vintage Military, Date Unknown 15.5 x 15.5 Handkerchief No Markings

Plain vintage handkerchiefs measuring 15.5" x 15.5" are timeless accessories, either is made from cotton or linen. My first thought was linen, but could be wrong and do not know how to tell.
