Vintage Metzke Pewter Lighthouse Figurine Nautical Maritime Light Beacon 1994 1994 USA Approx. Measurements: Length: 2 1/4 in (5.72 cm) Width: 1 3/4 in (4.45 cm) Height: 4 in (10.16 cm) In good vintage condition Gently displayed but not abused No chips, cracks, or repairs Slightly dusty from being displayed Lighthouse made need adjusting (bolt on base under felt) Note: Metzke was founded in 1963 by Dr. Fred and Mary Metzke; Fred as model-maker, Mary as creative designer. After creating more than 3,000 designs, their work is available at Disneyworld, the Smithsonian, and Neiman Marcus. The small family company grew to one of the largest pewter giftware manufacturers in the world. Unfortunately, Metzke closed its doors in 1997, no longer able to compete with imported pewter giftware.
