Vintage Mayer New York Alligator Handbag Bag

Preowned Beautiful brown alligator handbag by Mayer of New York, circa early 1960s vintage. Fixed short strap length, hinged gold tone metal closure with roll- top bar covered in matching alligator, gold latch at center. Underside of strap and interior of bag are one zippered caramel leatherette. Interior has several small pockets, a "Mayer New York". Condition is good to very good overall- strap is solidly attached with minimal wear. Some edge wear to the higher points of the hides, some rubbed wear to the corners and bottom panel. Pictures are fully disclosure. Mid section of strap showing split. Otherwise holding solid and not on a stress point- I foresee no future issues with this but it is worth noting- bag is priced accordingly. Vintage and classic handbag.
