Vintage Mamo Howell Hawaiian Muumuu Midaxi Dress Balloon Sleeve Blue Pink 10. Side seam pockets. Signature Mamo signed pattern. There are some small faint marks on sleeve and front body. Zipper has paint wear. Very tiny hole near bottom of dress. Inside collar tag with previous owner’s name. Sleeves have some pink color fading. One sleeve has tear in inside lining. There is small sewn tear on side of dress. Photos have been marked with arrows to show flaws. Garment has been laundered according to manufacturer’s instructions. Mamo Howell started her career as a hula dancer at the Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki, where she was discovered by a modeling agency. Later, Mamo Howell established her own label, “Mamo," in 1978, infusing her designs with traditional Hawaiian cultural elements like quilt patterns and lei designs. She was known for her bold, large prints and the incorporation of her signature within the fabric.
