A beautiful vintage Mahjong set — comes in original vintage vinyl case with a brown faux alligator print and Bakelite handle. Includes 156 Catalin/Bakelite tiles in excellent condition, The color is deep butterscotch/ pumpkin craved in designs as shown

Only the 8 Jokers have wear as seen in last 2 pics as they must’ve been a stickers on them
This was my grandmother n laws set.

Used brass cleaner for hardware and used leather paint for case to touch up certain places
I know that these sets sell for a lot more on the market even w missing tiles

@vtgimage Please show a better photo of the tiles you state are showing sign of wear, a better photo of the inside of the case (particularly the inside bottom), outside of the case, and the second layer of tiles in each tray.

I had to educate myself on these
So all the other titles are hand carved designs in excellent condition
No chips like other ppl I see have
It is the jokers which not sure why they have stickers when all the other ones were carved ???

@cccpayne how many Jokers are u suppose to have ? I feel terrible I didn’t learn how to play. I just moved into my mother n laws home. In a country club community and they play a few times a week she passed at the end of March. So, I have been gently going through her items to sell or keep for my son. She left him her estate . So whatever I sell I put it into an account for him for college

@vtgimage your set should have 8 jokers - which you have (the stickered tiles), 8 flowers, and 1-9 of 3 different suitss, and a pair of dice. I believe a set should also be a round ‘bettor.’ I too play weekly, we have been planning about a year. I play with 3 friends that I have known for years but have just reconnected.
I am a ‘stick to the budget kind of gal’ — and I have a number that I need to stay under. I know you understand the buying without seeing part of this.
