Vintage MCM Original by Robert Gold and Amber Brooch

Beautiful vintage brooch by "Original by Robert," featuring a round design with a gold-tone filigree setting and various amber and black stones. The brooch has a central oval-shaped amber cabochon, surrounded by alternating round amber and black stones, and smaller black stones set along the outer edge. “Original by Robert" jewelry dates back to 1942 when Robert Levy, David Jaffee, and Irving Landsman founded Fashioncraft Jewelry Company in New York. In 1951, the company was renamed Robert Originals, Inc., though it often went by the name Robert or Original by Robert.
