This is about as old school as it gets for Dansk and Jens H. Quistgaard. The 1960’s board might look simple and streamlined, but it's a masterpiece of form and design. The staved end grain teak center functions as the cutting board part with the slightly scooped moat surrounding it to capture juices. But the edges of the board are slightly elevated, and while it's a beautiful detail of the design, it also has a function - it allows one to place the rim of a plate beneath it to avoid losing any juice or messing up the table.
