hobeda I updated the listing with 2 more photos and measurements. I'm pretty sure it's leather but it's a little shinier than traditional leather, but not patent leather. Hope this helps

hobeda Wow posher2013! You know your designers. It is identical to a Lou Taylor I just saw on etsy & you're right--it's "vegan leather" made in Italy in the 60s.
