Vintage Limoges Box Pient Main France Genuine Authentic Trinket Box Stamp 1989 SITE COROT is a manufacture of Limoges porcelain, created in 1984. It immediately meets with an international success thanks to its graphic patterns created by Bill Goldsmith, artistic director at the time Beyond just being beautiful Limoges Boxes were originally created to serve a purpose. To hold valuables, tobacco, photos and other keepsakes. Designed for holding / dispensing stamps this lovely little box revisits those early roots. This magnificent box is stylized with, intricately painted, vibrant butterflies and flowers that scroll along the outside. Such a beautiful way to keep track of stamps or just place this fabulous item into your collection for its beauty and rarity. Measures Approx:2" tall The item is stamped & signed "Site Corot, Limoges France" I am clearing out my personal collection of Limoges Boxes, trinket boxes and "Just the Right Shoe".
