Vintage Lewis P Weil 8" T Glass Globe Terrarium Display Dome 1950s

The base is a thick plastic with a rubber ring inside with black felt on the bottom. The glass globe screws into the base. It may hold water, never tested. The base has a threaded knob.. I believe this was made by PM, Inc. and designed by Lewis P. Weil. I did not remove the felt to see if it was marked. The glass globe is approximately 1/8" thick glass. Last 4 photos show a crack in the base, but still functions as a display case. Glass is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Smoke free & pet friendly home.
