Vintage Laura Ashley Crochet Jacket/Cardigan Sweater, Medium

Purchased from Laura Ashley store in the mid-1990's this classic is back in style, back when the Ashley family still owned the brand. This is a unique sweater that a crochet-type weave with openings throughout. Made from a blend of cotton, ramie, linen, and silk, it drapes well and holds shape. It is a bit heavy, more like a full wool weight. Color is a pretty soft blue that leans grey with trim in a natural flax color linen trim. Neckline is a fold-over collar with the top button falling just below a blouse top button at about 5" from shoulder height. The buttons are wood, but unfortunately, the bottom button is missing. There are no true button-holes, it is just a larger opening in the crochet weave. Long sleeves with fold over cuffs that are tacked at 1.75". (2) small patch pockets round out this cutie. This button front sweater can be worn as a suit jacket, outside jacket or cardigan. Measurements: neckline is 4.5"w laying flat, 16"w at shoulders, 19" pit to pit, arm length 27.5" shoulder to end of cuff, overall length is 24" long.
