Vintage Large Latin American Wall Hanging Hand Woven Embroidered Tapestry

This tapestry is around 45 years old. It's quite large, measures approximately 64" long from tassel to tassel and 34" wide. I'm 99% sure it's wool. Not sure of the exact country of origin, Peru, Columbia, Guatemala? But I know it was brought back from South America by one of my mother's friends decades ago. Very unique.
