Their love for the cultural heritage & delicate craftsmanship by pre-Columbian cultures began in the 19th Century when a family member discovered important archaeological sites. The family has been able to rediscover and reproduce the art and tradition that captures aspects of the lives and beliefs of proud pre-Columbian civilizations in Colombia, Costa Rico and Mexico. The Cano Family has transformed their pre- Columbian symbols into small works of art for women to wear. Each piece is made by Colombian craftsmen using the same ancestral techniques of lost wax, using Tumbaga, an ancient alloy and giving five layers of a 24k gold and three patinas. This process gives each piece a unique and deep gold color.
