Beautiful Vintage Key West Kitchen Towel Hand Printed with a Key Lime Pie Recipe, by Key West Fabric.
A rare vintage find, the bright green fabric has darker green lettering and design. Signed Amy Lee dePoo '80, toward the bottom of the tea towel on the right side. It will make a great decorative piece and a unique gift.
In great vintage Condition. It measures 15 1/2” W by 27 1/2” L.
"In the 1950s, Key lime pie was promoted as Florida's "most famous treat". The dish is named after the small Key limes, which are more aromatic than the common Persian limes, and which have yellow, not green, juice. The filling in a Key lime pie is also yellow, largely because of the egg yolks".....Wikipedia
Amy Lee dePoo was the daughter of Suzie Zuzek, a designer for Key West Hand Print Fabrics, where Lilly Pulitzer sourced most of her fabrics—and all of her prints.
