John de Wit’s artistic process allows him to fuse his knowledge of international ceramic traditions with his skill as a glassmaker, creating pieces that are recognizably his own. De Wit furthered his glassblowing knowledge working with Dale Chihuly at Pilchuck Glass School, in Stanwood, WA. This piece is not signed or dated.
This is a vase given to Bonnie by John de Wit and is from Bonnie Miller's collection from Puyallup, WA. She wrote a book called "Out of the Fire" of glass artists working in Seattle in the 1980 - 1990's.
