The art looks to be based on famous historical Japanese paper and ink artwork depicting animals (rabbits and frogs) frolicking together. The artwork is also credited for being the earliest form of manga. The writing on the box refers to a fan store in Kyoto. Some wear on the box, but the fan is in good condition. Fan measures 8.5” in height.
