Vintage Japanese Ceramic Basket

Unusual geometric shape and joined rattan handles make this basket stand apart. Hand painted flowers and art deco pattern all in vibrant colors; orange, yellow, green, blue& pink. All in a glaze that shows. Racks everywhere. There is also some vintage crazing going on. The handles are rattan hooked through holes lengthwise and wrapped together in the middle-the handles stand up and will not fold down because of this. I saw one tiny chip as I was taking close up photos, it’s included. Overall dimensions are 10.5” long, 8” wide, 6.5” tall at handles, ceramic basket is 2.25-2.5” high. The one small chip is the only issue I can find. Mid-Century (50’s) marked made in Japan. Fun, versatile piece. Bright and unique.
