Vintage Japanese Amita Damascene cigarette box with silver and gold Mount Fuji

My mom bought this case back from Japan in the early 1950s. I've seen similar ones dating back between 1912-1930s. the case is made of steel, with silver and gold inlay, gold-tone edging, and a real gold strap to hold cigarettes or slim cigars. This is how all the other cases l've seen are made, so assuming the same for this one. Damascene is layering metals over each other. The case is in overall very good condition for its age, but there is some wear and tear. It is marked AMITA JAPAN on the inside in small lettering. It is about 6" long and 3.5" wide. It would be great for carrying credit cards, money, license, etc on a night out.
