Vintage Jacob Zook Hex Sign Bless This Child Pennsylvania Dutch Folk Art Decor

Selling this beautiful original Jacob Zook hex sign featuring "Bless The Child" inscribed on it. This is a unique piece of art featuring lambs, bluebirds, hearts, and flowers. A bit of history on this piece: Hex Signs are considered a form of Pennsylvania's Fancy Dutch Folk Art. These signs were often sold as souvenirs to tourists visiting the Amish country, but the intention of the art is to promote good luck and happiness. Jacob Zook of Paradise, Pennsylvania, originated the hex sign in 1942. This round sign is small (standard scissors for reference in photo) and measures 7.75 inches in diameter. It has a center hole you can drive a nail through to hang it up or lean it on its side for decor. It weighs about 4 oz.
