Beautiful 1950s handcrafted Italian Sorrento footed wooden 18 note music jewelry box in thuya wood. The Thuya tree is famous for its rich gold and brown shades, its grain, and unique exotic fragrance, similar to cedar. Upon opening, the music box begins to play a beautiful melody. Made in Italy, stamped on the bottom. The musical movement is Sankyo Japan. Excellent vintage condition, clean interior with no rips or flaws. Very rare green lining.
