Vintage Holt Howard Cartoon Skunk Hand Painted Salt and Pepper Shakers

Very good unused condition - no yellowing or discoloration. Set has not been used and has the original JAPAN and MADE IN JAPAN stickers on the bottom. Plugs are original, and worked well without signs of deterioration. No signs of chipping or cracks in the actual pottery Set is clearly hand-painted. These skunks have so much personality, whimsical and just plain joyful. Unsigned but attributed to early Holt Howard, a popular ceramic line that produced cartoonish figural pieces. Early pieces sold by Holt Howard were produced in Japan and imported to the U.S.
