Vintage Hockanum fabric chocolate brown women’s coat

Made by Hockanum fabric J.P. Stevens & Co. Inc. Vintage 50’s early 60’s women’s rich chocolate brown color coat. Coat reminds me of a brown bear or a huge brown otter. Every time I wore this coat out, people had to touch it. So be prepared. Inside of coat is fully lined, slit side pockets that are located in the high waist area( very fem!), 3 large front buttons, and round chunky Peter Pan collar. Back of coat has amazing pleats. Coat is on the light weight side. It’s too light weight to use as winter coat. Great to wear over a medium weight sweater. No tags indicating size or material. Coat smells like wool when wet. Inside lining could be polyester. Free of stains, holes, rips or funky smells. Excellent vintage condition. Measurements indicate modern size small. Laying flat front measurements: chest: 22” shoulder to shoulder almost 14”, collar cir. 16.5”, sleeve length: almost 25”, cuff cir. 10.5”, hem: 24” and coat length 39”.
