Vintage Handmade Guatemalan Worry Dolls with Button Clips

These adorable worry dolls were purchased at a street fair in the 1960s from a Guatamalan person. They have little clips on the back that allow you to put them on the buttons of any shirt that has the right sized buttons. They are in nice vintage condition. Worry dolls are small, handmade dolls that children in Central America use to help them manage their worries. The dolls are traditionally given to children at night, and the children tell the dolls their worries before placing them under their pillows. The belief is that the dolls will take the worries away and allow the children to sleep peacefully. They are about 1.5 to 2 inches tall.
