Vintage Hanae Mori silk neck tie

This vintage tie is from 1970’s Japan and the reknowed designer Hanae Mori. Note her iconic watermark on the tie’s lining. The last picture almost captures the true shade of jade green geometric pattern on an almost black blue background. The 100% kinu(kanji ) means all silk. Recognized for her unparalleled contributions to the world of fashion, Mori became the first fashion designer to receive the Order of Culture in Japan in 1996; she was also named an officier de la Legion d'honneur by France in 2002.
