Vintage * HUGE Sculpted Carved PILLAR CANDLE * purple blue pink * never used *

VINTAGE * a HUGE (10-1/2" tall ~ about 4-1/2" across ~ weighs over 4-1/2 pounds) HAND CARVED and SCULPTED PILLAR CANDLE. It was originally shades of PURPLE and IVORY, but has since faded to shades of WINE (the colors when you look through a glass of wine ~ ranging from Rose to Pinot Noir) ~ with IVORY ~ some pale PINK and even some light BLUE. Impossible to describe all the different carvings, so you need to see the photos.... but there's a giant BOW ~ some twisted vertical lines (like peppermint sticks) ~ like drooping flower petals at the bottom, and maybe you can find even more on there (like identifying shapes in clouds). The last photo shows the bottom of the candle, so you can see how intricately the wax was placed (how did the artist DO that??). It's never been lit, but not sure the wax would melt after so many years. It's pretty fragile now (and you can see some areas where it's flaked off on edges of the "swirls"). I have no idea who the artist was, or where it's from. It was a gift over 40 years ago. I've never seen anything like this, and it would make a real statement as a display piece!
