A HMQ vintage Nutcracker in good vintage condition. Not dated, but marked "HMQ" on both sides. Some rust, mostly on the rougher interior part where the nut sits when you crack it. Works great! This belonged to my grandparents and is likely from the 1940s or 50s. Has a good weight to it. At rest the two ends are about 5.5" apart. Each arm measures about 5" long and the top spring portion is roughly 1" wide.
History: Henry M Quackenbush was a 20th century inventor. In 1913, he patented the spring-jointed nutcracker, a nickel-plated, solid steel nutcracker.
Comes from a smoke free home.
