Vintage HERMES Goldenrod Tweed Skirt w/ Decorative Brass Leather Detail FR40

Fantastic vintage Hermès tweed skirt in a heavy weight goldenrod color tweed that changes color depending on the lighting. This skirt features decorative lambskin leather and solid and shiny brass dumbbell closures, leather detailing on the back, and leather trim throughout. A wonderful example of Hermès craftsmanship estimated to be from the 1970s-1980s. Made in France Tweed composition: 100% wool Leather detailing: Lambskin Lining: 100% acetate Brown leather trim along top and sideseam of skirt Sideseam of skirt is stitched shut and decorative Leather and solid brass dumbbell decorative closures Decorative leather detail on back Hidden YKK brown zipper along side with hook and eye closure Size FR40 although runs small, will fit a size 6 or size 8 best Good/fair condition, well maintained Outside: Outer tweed body of skirt in good shape, one small pull in tweed along side, leather trim is slightly stained, cracking, and/or peeling in places (see photos), leather on top decorative closure is starting to unwind, brass closures have some tarnish although remain mostly shiny, some wrinkling to skirt from storage Inside: One small patch to inner tweed trim, one small patch to lining along waist, some holes and fraying of lining in one spot, a few small pinholes, a few small marks Measurements (taken laying flat): Waist 14.5" Hip 19" Length 24.5" Hem 19.5" Smoke free home.
