They are collectible and the cobalt blue shade is timeless. All pieces are Aurora pattern with vertical ribbed or horizontal ribbed lines. Dinnerware made by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company from the late 1930s to the 1940s. The glass was white Platonite, a translucent, strong glass that was suitable for kitchen and table use. Colors were fired onto the glass to create the Moderntone pattern (1934-42). Hazel-Atlas founded in 1885 in Wheeling, WV and made the largest quantities of pressed glassware in the 1920s–1940s.
