Vintage HAK Herman A Kahler Danish 6 3/4” Saucer Salad Plate with Uranium Glaze Dish is slightly UV reactive due to the glaze (see photo - white areas have an orange glow.) Extremely rare, one of a kind. The underside is marked as shown in the photos. This little plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains, etc. There is no scratching or surface wear. Weighs: 9oz Measures: 6 3/4” across, 1 1/4” tall, 3/4” deep in center of dish Maker: Herman August Kähler (1846-1917) founded the Kähler pottery factory in Nastved, Denmark in 1839. Signature: The dish is likely signed "HAK" or "HAK Danmark" on the underside, which are the marks used by the company to identify their pieces. & Style: This dish reflects the mid-century modern style, characterized by its clean lines and bold, graphic patterns.
