Vintage Greek Leather Belt with Shield Buckles - Made in Rhodes, Greece

This belt is a gorgeous piece of souvenir fashion. It has the Greek city "Rhodes" carved down its length a couple times with butterflies, deer, and human figures interspersed with the letters. Then, in very small letters (see the upclose photos) are the words "Rodes" "Greece" and "Suvinir." Probably the most remarkable thing about the belt (besides the craftmanship) is the silver-toned, shield style buckles. Because they latch to close, you cannot tighten the belt. It is almost exactly 38 inches tip to tip. With such limited measurements, it is just begging to be repurposed into something equally as cool, like a bag or guitar strap or wrapped jewelery.
