Vintage Gold National Honor Society NHS Pin Still Sealed 0.75'' 70s/80s Era

Never opened, so cannot test how much gold is in this pin (I know that some online specifically say 10K; I cannot be sure because it is sealed). I do know this is from the 70s and 80s era. It is roughly 0.75'' long.
