For your consideration is this vintage beer stein produced by Pokale Sachenbacher for a German unit based at Erding Air Base in Germany. The front of the stein bears a Coat of Arms for the German Lw Werft 13 unit at Erding. It is quite heavy and feels like stoneware. Some crazing is observed in addition to a crack in the clay on the bottom formed during the manufacturing process, but it does not go all the way through. The bottom is marked and reads "POKALE / (Trophy Image) / Sachenbacher / Pokale Sachenbacher / Schönbrunner StraBe 3 / 8201 Höslwang / Telefon (0 80 55) 4 56 u. 80 71 / Telefax (0 80 55) 82 49". No Chips present and all glazed except for bottom rim. The stein measures 4.1 inches in diameter x 5 inches in height. Excellent and rare piece of militaria you will not want to pass over.
