Vintage 1970s, real sheepskin shearling coat. Extremely warm! Size 4. Has some age to it which should be expected from a vintage coat. Could use a professional leather cleaning to look new again or enjoy the vintage look. Please note wear in pictures 5-8. The spot pictured should clean with a professional cleaning; it doesn’t detract from the beauty of the coat. Sleeve length is adjustable based on how you cuff the sleeve. NOT BUNDLE ELIGIBLE. bentoa @dvmyers1955 I appreciate the question. My feeling is that you can’t buy a real shearling coat for less than $1000. The coat is priced for as is condition and it’s wearable as is. If it fit me I would wear as is because it just looks aged and I like the worn in look. Whoever purchases it is getting it at an incredible price and can choose to clean it if they wish.

bentoa @fiaandbelle two reasons - 1) it’s vintage and sizes then are not what they are now. 2) it’s European sized. I’m 5’9 and when I was a size 4 I wore this. It fit perfectly but even then I wished it was slightly roomier across the chest because I have broader shoulders than most size 4s. If you are a petite 4 it will be perfect for you!!

bentoa @fiaandbelle Here are some more measurements for you to consider. Top of Shoulder seem to shoulder seem measures at 17/17.5 inches across. This is the area I always wished I had a little more room in because I’m broad shouldered. I’m really an 18/18.5 but I could still wear this comfortably back when I was a size 4. I

bentoa @fiaandbelle reply continued ... I just like having a little extra room in my winter coats so normally I buy a size bigger than I am. If you are average shouldered or petite shouldered you will be fine. Armpit to armpit is 19 inches across. Just remember the shearling takes away some of that measurement because of the thick pile. What is your bra size? I was wearing 28C to 32 B during the years I wore this coat. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

bentoa @fiaandbelle it will fit you perfectly. It could use a professional leather cleaning if you want it to look new again. If you like the vintage look then no cleaning required. I think that just depends on your personal style. I like the vintage look of it and would personally wear as is but that’s just me.

bentoa @fiaandbelle part 2 - If you prefer to have it looking brand new I can give a little on price to help you cover some cleaning costs. Let me know your preference and we can work something out. New this coat would be over $1000 so I feel it’s priced well with cleaning costs in mind. No smoking home however I can’t guarantee it’s never been around smoke considering people could smoke everywhere in the 70s.

bentoa @fiaandbelle part 3 - From my research cost for leather cleaning runs as much as $70 for a full length shearling coat which this is not. So I would guess the cost would be $35-50. I’m happy to split the cleaning cost with you and drop another $25 off the coat if that helps. Let me know your thoughts.

bentoa Please note I come from a smoke free home my entire life so it was never around smoke at home since it’s purchase in the 70s. I just can’t guarantee that the coat wasn’t exposed to 1970s smoke on the street, restaurants, etc.
